Self care + Weekends + DREAD

Most weekends I'm ready to jump into a new big week ahead and really make the most of it. But some of them I don't.

Some have been so rad with our family connection time that I just want to keep doing what we've been up to.

Some weekends I finish feeling like I haven't done all the thing I wanted to, so I'm beginning my week on the back foot already.

Sometimes, I just know how busy the week ahead is going to be, and I just can't face it.

Sometimes each week has a challenge, a child that has separation anxiety, a work colleague that unloads too much on you, a difficult night of navigating 3-6 different drop off and pick up times.

I'm sure you've felt these sometimes too, and probably a couple of others I haven't included. I wish there was a way that I could make all of those anxieties in the pit of your tummy go away. And I can't wave that fairy god mother wand.

But what I can do is show you ways that you can grapple with these feelings, and choose, hopefully, a positive and a healthy way through them. And by this I mean, not a psychological session on your inner stories (although I think we all need those at times), but a shift in the thinking and choices for the week that can make a susceptible change.
