2022 already feels heavy! Are you already burnout?

I know I'm not alone here, but this year already feels heavy. The turbulence, the Fu%&ing Omicron wreaking havoc and creating a level of unknown once again in our worlds... it's not the glorious re-set we had all hoped for!

I've seen this shift and change creating a lot of tension and internal stress load in people.

As you read this, can you consciously drop those shoulders a little more? Can you take that deep restorative breath to help your body sense calm?

Yes!!  Do it like Jimmy Fallon!! 

Ironically, I love to have a big laugh, so if you love Jimmy Fallon like I do (seriously I want to go and see him live, one of my bucket list dreams), then this a good place to start!

The amazing thing about our gorgeous body, is that we can so easily help it be in a state of ease.

We can do some simple things to help ourselves reconnect within!

Here's two of my fave ways:

1. Box Breathing... yep if you've been around here a while you would of heard me talk about this, but box breathing, slowly for counts of 4 in, hold for 4, out for 4, hold out for 4, in again for 4.... signals safety to your brain and automatically alters those stress receptors telling yourself to rush and be busy.

2. Move my body. This is where my ability to ask within what is important matters. Often, if I'm feeling rushed and stressed, I need to slow move with yoga or pilates or some abdominal activations. But sometimes, I need to move that stress load out of my system. A run, boxing class, HIIT, dancing crazy so I'm sweaty... being able to freely move and our brain perceive that movement is also a key way we can signal safety to our self.
